Giddy-Up!

Alice was invited to her friend Jenica's birthday party. The party was at a Pony Farm! How cool is that?

Testing out the saddle before we went over to the horses...

Giddy-up! Jenica is such a good friend that she even invited Henry to come along. Henry thought that was pretty cool. Alice's pony was Turbo. He was a nice little pony. However, not so fond of having any other horse in front of him! All the girls got on their horses and we headed out on the trails (with a parent walking next to each kid). Jenica, as the birthday girl, was in the lead. However, Turbo decided that just would not do. So he stopped. And refused to go any further. The person from the Pony Farm told us that Turbo is just like that. So, Turbo and Alice got to lead. Alpha Horse, indeed!

The farm itself was beautiful. We got to walk around a pretty little pond with lily pads, then through some meadows, and on into a forest area. Such a great afternoon.

Go, Turbo, go! When Henry heard it was a "pony" farm, he was not thrilled about riding a pony. We assured him they weren't baby horses - just ponies. However, when we got there, all the girls got ponies and Henry got this beautiful horse, Lydia. He did a great job with her.

After the ride, all the kids had great fun at the picnic area - running through the trees and getting muddy. Here they are - Roisin, Olivia, Alice, and the birthday girl, Jenica.

Thanks for such a great day, Jenica. Happy Birthday!
