Strange weather patterns lately. Last week, we had freezing temps and blue skies. This week, it's warm temps and pouring rain. After school today, there was a much-appreciated break in the rain and it seemed like a perfect reason to visit the beach with friends.
The recent rains have created rivers in the beach.
My friend Jill was being mischievous and brought along some "beach glass." As we walked along the beach, she scattered it here and there. The kids found the beautiful (and perfect) blue pieces and were amazed at their good fortune. They gathered it up like they had found the best beach treasure ever.
It was a lovely afternoon outing.

She wasn't mischievous... she was creating a wonderful memory!! Hopefully the kids won't spend years looking for more glass at that beach :)
