Yet another rainy, cold day for a school field trip to the pumpkin patch. Oh well... The kids didn't seem to mind. Even the two-headed pig didn't mind.
Each of the parents took a small group of kids through the corn maze. It was a big, big maze. Fortunately, we all made it out, no problem.
Then it was on to the apple orchard to pick a Jonagold apple. This late in the season, they're really big and really sweet. It's always fun to watch 1st graders, with their loose front teeth, trying to eat apples. Some of them just gave up and decided it wasn't worth it!Alice and Cora were pretty much inseparable today.
Mrs. Hawes' 1st grade class.
After the wagon ride back to the farm, I went with another small group of kids to check out the farm animals - goats, ponies, sheep, cows, and chickens. And... the kids all took a ride on the "mail box head horse" which they thought was fantastic. Ride 'em cowgirl!
