Camels and Oryx and Donkeys, Oh My!

This afternoon we went up to the zoo with some friends. Had a great time checking out all the animals. A nice summer day (low 80s and we thought we were dying of the heat!) to be outside. Nice to cool off in the shade of a tree...
One of my favorite things about this zoo is that they encourage you to bring bikes/scooters. Lots of big paths for Henry to ride, which always makes him happy. He gets to ride his bike AND see the animals!
There were lots of babies! Here are the mommy and baby ring-tailed lemurs, or Zoboomafoos, as we like to call them.

Alice claims that her favorite animal at the zoo is the donkey. They're quite affectionate and Alice always likes to pet them...

Every time we go to the zoo, this same deer is laying by the fence - perfect for the kids to pet. He had wonderful velvet antlers.

Oryx are one of my favorites at the zoo. Look at the 2 little babies. There were also baby bison, giraffes, and wallabies. The little wallaby joey kept peeking his head out of his mom's pouch, she would shove him back in, he'd peek out, she'd shove him in, etc.. It was quite comical.

Before leaving, we always stop at the playground and get a shot with Alice's favorite pig!
