On The Mend

After 2 surgeries, a stay on the general floor, the ICU floor, and the cardiac floor, Dan did get to come home on New Years Eve about 7:30pm. We're really glad to have him home. He's doing good and looking forward to being able to take a shower (has to wait for 24 hrs after his last surgery). Lots of followup appts with drs in the coming weeks to determine the initial cause and to make sure the situation is under control. But we're hopeful and so grateful to have him back home with us.

From 6pm on Monday night until 1pm on Wednesday afternoon, Dan could move his head and arms - and that was it. He wasn't supposed to move any other part of his body, especially his legs. After his first surgery, he was so curious what his leg looked like yet couldn't lean over to take a look - lucky for him that I had my camera!
