The Fourth Tooth

Henry lost his 4th tooth today.

When he lost his 1st tooth last year - he actually lost it. As in, the only explanation we can come up with is that he swallowed it. It was just gone. The Tooth Fairy took pity on him and still paid up. Isn't she nice? The 2nd tooth? It went down the sink when he spit after brushing. Grr. The Tooth Fairy was not happy to part with a 2nd tooth but she still paid up. The 3rd tooth? Henry was determined that he couldn't let the Tooth Fairy down again (well, she actually sort of threatened him in the letter she left that he had darn-sure better give her the next one, or else!). So when it was pretty loose, Henry let Dan pull it. Brave boy. And the Tooth Fairy was quite happy.

And then we come to the 4th tooth. It was loose. Really loose. Don't you agree? See it hanging there? Top right center.

But he did not want me to pull it. He kept insisting that it hurt too much. But it was almost time to go to school and I told him that the Tooth Fairy would not be happy if a 3rd tooth was lost. So my brave boy agreed to let me yank it out of his mouth! Not willingly, mind you, but he did agree.

His last try to get it out himself before submitting to me! It didn't work.Ah ha! Victory. I gave a little yank and it came right out. Much better!
