Pearl arrived last night. When she got out of her carrier, she was on a mission to do some serious sniffing. We were able to pet her a few times - such soft fur - but she was definitely not interested in us last night. She had too much exploring to do. That lasted about 30 minutes and then she went under the couch and stayed put. We trooped off to bed, calling our "good nights" to the new member of our family.
During the night, Dan and Pearl had some bonding time. He got to hold her quite a bit and brought her upstairs to show her around. After awhile, she found her way under Alice's bed and stayed there til morning.
Alice was triumphant this morning as Pearl came out from under the bed and crawled into Alice's lap. Look at those long whiskers. 
This afternoon when I got home from work, she was more than willing to come to me and have some snuggling time in the chair. Ahhhh... Alice will be home soon from preschool and hopefully Pearl will be ready for some snuggling time with Alice.
