The ants have been busy! The kids are interested, but I think it's totally awesome and have spent lots of time checking out the ant habitat. Here they are after the first 24 hours.
At almost 48 hours... They are busy, busy, busy. All their tunnels are starting to connect. They're just so darn industrious! One goes down to dig. Others follow and pick up the gel stuff, turn around, and head back to the top to drop it off. Not wasting any time, she quickly turns back around and heads down for another load. I just can't figure out the motivation! What is driving these ants to tunnel like this? It's crazy. But I sure love watching them.
