Happy Birthday, Alice! Can't believe my little Sweet Pea turned six today.
We made our annual pilgrimage down to the tulip fields to celebrate her special day.
Alice's friend, Signe, joined us and the girls had a great time together.
An unusually dry Winter and warm early Spring caused the tulips to bloom early. We've visited the tulip fields many years when all we saw were daffodils and rain. Not this year!
Field trips are always more fun with a friend.
I love the display gardens. They're just incredible.
In Skagit County, there are 3 major farms. They produce 200 million bulbs and 97 million cut flowers each year. That's 75% of the nation's commercial tulip crop.
Alice and Signe were busy running up and down the main paths near the tulips. Alice tolerated posing for a few photos in the fields.... and then I could tell she was done!
