Nearing the end of Christmas break - the kids are getting restless and inventing ways to annoy one another. We've had perhaps a little too much "together time" over the last couple of weeks. This morning, when Henry flew his remote control helicopter into his sister's hair, I knew it was time to get out of the house to release some energy. After the untangling... we headed to Pt Whitehorn with our friends and neighbors, Connor and Nicole, and our friends, Kim, Jenica, and Kerry.

Walking through the forest, we were all plenty warm but it was a little spooky to listen to the raging wind storm, high above us.
The four girls had fun skipping along, pretending to be eagles and gathering wood to build a fort.
Once at the beach, the wind hit us and it was mighty cold. There were actual waves crashing on the beach.
The kids didn't care about the wind or the cold. They commenced to playing and burning energy - the whole point of the outing.
Thank you, Mother Nature, for providing us a fun outing on this winter day.
