Recess

At recess, Henry plays kickball, freeze tag, basketball, and other typical recess-type activities. Last year, he wore holes in the toes of his shoes (multiple times, multiple shoes!) from playing kickball. This morning, I thought I'd ask Alice what she does during recess now that she's in school.

Me: "Alice, what do you play at recess?"

Alice: "Zombies."

Me: "Huh?"

Alice: "One girl is the mommy, the rest of the girls are the babies, and the boys are the zombies and they chase us around. You know what zombies are, don't you, Mommy?"

Me: "I think so."

Alice: "You know, like dead mummies."

Me: "Ohhh..."
