The 1st Grade Orientation That Never Was...

Well... This was going to be a big week for us with Henry staring 3rd grade and Alice 1st grade. The first day of school was scheduled for Wednesday.

This morning was 1st grade orientation and we were ready to go!

Only to discover that orientation was canceled. The teachers are on strike as they weren't able to negotiate a contract with the school district. So, we took the 1st Grade Orientation Photo and drove back home.

Bummer.

Now we have to wait and hear when contract negotiations are settled and school might start. This may turn in to a really long week...
