Kerr... Splat!

Another beautiful day for the Pumpkin Pitch. The kids made squash cars.
It's quite the project with saws, power drills, sticks, and squash of all shapes and sizes.
Henry even raced his down the ramp this year. If I recall correctly, last year he didn't want to damage his car and refused to race it.
We arrived early so we had time to check out the trebuchets. Some were simple.
And others were more complicated. Some were made of wood, some of metal. And some had some significant amounts of duct tape holding them together.
We stayed for the long-distance throws. The "Gourdinator" held the record for distance with a pumpkin pitch of 1,086 feet. It flew up in the air...
Up, up, up...
And kerr... splat!
