This year, for the End of Year Cub Scout Family Campout we went to Silver Lake. Such a perfect location for this fun outing. The kids and I brought our bikes and we spent the afternoon biking around.
Back at camp, there was more biking with friends.
And when the bikes were thrown down, there was frisbee, baseball, waterguns, hide and seek, and more. About 70 of us spent the night and the kids had so much fun.
After dinner, the Scouts were presented with their awards, belt loops, and pins.
The Bears... who are now Webelos!
It was a fun night. We roasted super sticky gigantic marshmallows, ate smore's, talked, and played. There was a rousing game of baseball at 10:15pm that I had to pull Henry away from so we could get some sleep. I believe the last boy got to his tent around 11pm. And the birds started chirping around 4:30am!
The night before, it was agreed that we'd have breakfast ready at 8am. But when the entire camp is up and going long before 6am.... we all ate breakfast around 6:30am. Pancakes and sausage, and the boys trooped off to the creek to build a dam. Yes, that is a huge rock being drug with a backpack. Boys, boys, boys...
