Low Tide

Now, it feels like summer!  Our first really warm day and it just happened to be a -2.3 low tide.  Perfect!

We headed to Larrabee State Park and met up with some friends who also appreciate the joy of low tide exploration.   This beach is always a sure bet for finding gobs of purple sea stars.
But, this was a rare treat.   A sea cucumber!  Unfortunately, it was more like a sea pickle.  It was dead, but still very cool to look at.
 Both kids had fun exploring.
This beach has some great sand stone formations.
Dan and Henry even found a little jellyfish.   It was clear so it's rather difficult to see in this photo, but trust me, it was there.  We even touched it (it's the yellow and red ones you have to be careful of).
We had a very nice beach outing.   Looking forward to many more this summer.
