Daisies On The Boardwalk

This afternoon was our last Daisy Girl Scout troop meeting for the year. We wrapped up The Journey Through The Daisy Flower Garden with a garden party at Tennant Lake.

It's been a fantastic year with these Daisy Girl Scouts!
It's always more fun when you can be silly...
My, my... they sure were patient with all the picture taking.
Such a fantastic group of girls. I'm so happy that I had the chance to lead them during their first year as Girl Scouts. And I'm looking forward to many more years...
After our award ceremony and garden party, we headed out on the boardwalk for an adventure.
Tennant Lake is covered in lily pads this time of year.
The girls had fun checking out the cool stuff in the water - bugs, larvae, lily pads, and dragon flies.
A perfect place to break out with some dance moves.
Then back to the boardwalk. Daisies, with a few siblings mixed in for fun.
End of the road... part of the boardwalk was flooded, so we had to turn around and head back to the gardens. We made it the entire way with nobody going for a swim. Thank goodness!
Several of the girls even had the energy to climb the tower at the end.
A fun day, and a wonderful year, had by all the Daisy Girl Scouts.
